Privacy policy
Effective date: September 9, 2026 · ASIP Technologies, Inc.
This policy describes what Cent collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to match the privacy information Cent discloses to Apple for the App Store. It does not cover company-specific policies your employer may add on top of this for its own workspace.
What we collect
- Identity and account: name, verified email, employer or workspace membership, employee or contractor reference, department and cost centre.
- Expense records: merchant, date, amounts, category, business purpose, and attendees where your company's policy requires them.
- Receipts: the receipt image and the text our systems extract from it.
- Mileage: vehicle details, mileage trips, and — only while a trip is active — precise location.
- Certification: your signature image and a record that you certified a submission.
- Subscription: whether your subscription is active.
- Reimbursement instructions: where you tell your employer to send a reimbursement (see the dedicated section below).
Location
Cent records precise location only between the moment you explicitly start a business trip and the moment you stop it. There is no continuous background tracking. Mileage data is never used to monitor your productivity or employment performance. If you deny location permission, manual mileage entry still works fully.
Reimbursement instructions
Banking details you enter so your employer knows where to send a reimbursement are encrypted at the application layer with a key held outside normal database access, and masked after entry. They are excluded from our AI processing, analytics, application logs, support tooling, and any AI assistant you connect. We share them only with the employer recipient you choose. Cent itself never moves money — reimbursement is paid by your employer through its own payroll or accounts-payable system.
What we never collect
Social Security numbers, dates of birth, online banking credentials, tax-return credentials, card PINs, security question answers, vehicle identification numbers (VIN), insurance policy numbers, driver's licence images, or vehicle registration documents.
Who processes it
| Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, file storage |
| ASIP-operated OCR service (with Microsoft Azure AI Document Intelligence as a documented fallback) | Reading receipts |
| Postmark | Transactional email |
| Apple | Subscription billing — Cent never sees your card details |
| OpenStreetMap-derived routing | Mileage route calculation |
If you choose to connect Claude or ChatGPT, your data goes to that provider only within the scopes you grant, and you can revoke that grant at any time.
How long we keep it
- Receipt originals and submitted reports: 7 years.
- Audit events: 7 years.
- Raw GPS points: 90 days by default.
- Reimbursement instructions: until you remove them.
Company workspaces may configure longer retention for their own records.
Deleting your account
You can request account deletion at any time — see Account deletion for how. Company-controlled financial records may be retained after your access is removed, because an employer's expense records are the employer's, not yours to delete on their behalf. Deleting your personal account does not erase those.
We do not sell your data
ASIP Technologies, Inc. does not sell personal information.
